CNN is one of the most influential media properties both in the United States and worldwide. As of March 2023, CNN is generally the third-most viewed cable television news network in the U.S., averaging about 400,000 daily viewers compared to MSNBC’s 670,000 and Fox News’ 1.4 million.1 With 675 million visits, CNN is also the third-most visited online news site in March 2023, behind only the BBC and MSN and somewhat ahead of the New York Times.2 It also claims to have the largest number of monthly unique individual visitors of any online news site worldwide, at about 166 million in 2022.3 With 37 editorial offices, 24 branded networks, and 1000 affiliates that run its content, CNN has a large international footprint in television and claims to reach nearly 2 billion people globally.4
